Midway Metals has recently expanded its local stainless steel processing capabilities acquiring Outokumpu’s Australian operation, the only dedicated cold-rolled stainless steel coil service centre in Australia.
The move cements the company’s market leading position in supporting Australian industry to deliver world-class products and projects.
Midway Metals Managing Director, Paul Batty said the company has spent decades investing in advanced equipment and local processing to deliver reduced lead times, fast and seamless processing, and a wide choice of products for Australian manufacturers, fabricators, builders and designers.

The addition expands Midway Metals’ cutting and polishing options for both stainless steel coils and sheets offering customers a wider choice of lengths, widths, thicknesses, finishes and grades, plus superior sheet flatness.
